Last year's Aldie Harvest Festival was awarded Visit Loudoun's "2010 Best Event" attracting more than 3000 visitors.
The Festival celebrates our rural heritage and provides local non-profit organizations (village churches, Aldie Mill, PTA, Ruritan and the Aldie VFD) with an opportunity to raise monies to support their work. Vendors will line the village from one end to the other along Rt. 50. Two great bands: Andy Hawk and Friends, and 4 of a Kind.
Visitors can tour the historic Aldie Mill and see the waterwheels grind corn; stroll thru the village from one end to the other enjoying classic rock and blues. Enjoy Helen's Country Cooking, sandwiches and baked goods from Little Apple Pastry shop, Red Hots at the Episcopal Church, Kettle Korn, ice cream, and other tempting treats. Kids activities include Moonbounce, Pony Rides, Face Paining, and Cornbox (at the Mill). (It's like a sandbox, but with corn!) Participating merchants will also offer special sales to commemorate the celebration, The Methodist Church will again be serving their famous sit-down lunch. Plenty of parking on the east end of town next to the Episcopal Church.
Come to Aldie on October 15th for a day of family fun in the country!
