What's the Turnpike?
Rt 50 east from Aldie to Alexandria was once the Little River Turnpike. The old Toll House has been converted to a residence. Snickersville Turnpike ran from Aldie to the northwest, and Ashby Gap Turnpike from Aldie to the west along the current Rt 50. |
